The Glamour Boys will be hoping to return to their winning ways when they travel to Qwaqwa to honour a fixture against unpredictable, Free State Stars at Charles Mopeli Stadium on Saturday, 07 November 2009.

Kick off for the game is at 20h15.

Chiefs currently lying on 8th position with 19 points after 14 games travel to Qwaqwa following a draw away to Mpumalanga Black Aces on Wednesday while 12th placed Free State Stars eased their relegation worries with a 1-0 win over AmaZulu on the same day.

Speaking to kaizerchiefs.com on Friday morning coach, Vladimir Vermezovic said his charges were ready to ‘fight for maximum points’.

“We do not know much about Free State Stars. All we know is that they play very hard and would want to impress in front of their home fans. On our side we are ready to fight for maximum points. The return of Tinashe (Nengomasha) from suspension is a boost for us,” said the coach.

Vermezovic also explained the five changes he made on the team that played against Black Aces on Wednesday, “we decided to rest players for that particular game. There have been too many games in a short space of time so it is very important that you rotate your squad to keep every one fresh.”

I should also mention that I have confidence in all my players. It was unfortunate that we made mistakes especially at the back. We were back at training on Thursday to work on our mistakes, I am confident that we will be for Free State Stars come Saturday,” he concluded.

Games between the two sides have always been tight affairs over the years although Chiefs have an upper hand having won 12 games out of 22 games the two sides have played since 1996. The biggest win against Stars coming in 2005/6 season when the rampant Amakhosi beat Free State Stars 5-1 in their own back yard.
