Amakhosi coach Ernst Middendorp was the last man to emerge from the change room as The Amakhosi took to the field for their warm up preparations as they get ready to face Mamelodi Sundowns in a much awaited ABSA Cup Semi Final.

The Chiefs coach, notes and pen in hand continued plotting Chiefs course up until he was called by the waiting television crew to take care of the necessary media engagements.



The Chiefs coach has been forced to make changes to his team from the one that defeated Silver Stars last Sunday at the same venue. Stand-in captain Fabian McCarthy has been ruled out with a hamstring injury. Replacing him is Chiefs captain Cyril Nzama who missed the Stars game through suspension.

Other changes to the team see Scara Ngobese relegated to the bench in comes Zimbabwean international Tinashe Nengomasha to take his place in the midfield. Up front David Radebe starts ahead of Louis Agyemang who currently still leads the ABSA Cup goal scoring charts.



An injury to Emile Baron presents Chiefs nineteen year old, under twenty national team goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune with the opportunity to gain some valuable experience as he is drafted in as the reserve keeper for Saturday afternoon’s game. Also make his way back in the squad is Derrick Spencer who missed last weekend’s game through suspension; he too begins from the bench.



Chiefs opposition today, Mamelodi Sundowns have made just one change to their team that defeated Classic 3-1 in a league game on Wednesday, Dillon Sheppard who was sent off in that game has been replaced by the equally dangerous Clement Mazibuko. Sandile Ndlovu the man who turned Wednesday night's game on its head after coming in as a second half substitute against Classic once again starts off the game as reserve.
