Kaizer Chiefs mentor, Muhsin Ertugral paid a glowing tribute to his charges following a 1-0 victory over Bloemfontein Celtic at Seisa Ramabodu Stadium on Wednesday afternoon. The Glamour Boys were the deservedly winners having dominated the game from the first whistle.

“Credit to the boys they deserved to win”, said the Turk.

“We dominated the whole game and Celtic never gave us any problems except in the first half when their talented left winger had a run couple of times to Zwane but he never panicked due to his experience dealt with the situation very well.

In fact the whole team never panicked today. We knocked the ball nicely. We pressed them well from the front every time they start to attack which is the new way of defending that the team I want to adjust to...players do not have to run back when the lose the ball but forward.

It worked as Celtic never really have a chance to create the desired chances. I think we should have scored more goals but I am happy with the win”.

Ertugral made timely changes during the second stanza of the game that proved to be a tonic for the victory, “Thuso (Phala) came at a right time and really troubled Celtic defence with his pace. Reneilwe also came and did very well.

We were confident of coming back with all the points in this game but we are not going to rest.

We have a tough game coming up against Amazulu this coming weekend. It is not going to be easy” he added.
