The Amakhosi mourns Maseru Koaho

The Management of Kaizer Chiefs, supporters and players were saddened by the sudden passing away of a friend, and a seasoned Journalist, Maseru Koaho of the SABC.

We have known the deceased as a true professional and a patient gentleman that executed his work with diligence and respect. He has been to our offices on many occasions and throughout all the time, displayed a humble spirit of working with people.

His approach was not motivated by the desire to capture the latest scoop, but it was more of creating a partnership and a friendship that aided both institutions in presenting the truth in a balanced and objective manner possible.

We were particularly drawn by his understanding when we would seem illusive with information given the circumstances that warranted our actions at that time. Amidst all this, Maseru would gladly accept our stance and patiently await an opportunity to get his story from Amakhosi. His loss to sports in general and football in particular leaves a huge void in our industry.

I wish therefore to express our heartfelt condolences to his family and relatives. May the Almighty strengthen their broken hearts and of all those that worked with and shared his life.
