Nkosinathi “Chippa”Nhleko has expressed his delight at going back to Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium where he scored on his first appearance for Kaizer Chiefs during the pre-season encounter against First Division outfit Bay United.

The striker went on to make his official debut for the Glamour Boys in August scoring on his debut in the MTN 8 quarterfinal against Bidvest Wits. It is that goal at Nelson Mandela Bay though that lifted his confidence.

It was also Chippa’s second half strike that made a difference between the Glamour Boys and Free State Stars away in QwaQwa earlier this month. The win ensured that the Amakhosi close the first round of the season on a high note.

Speaking to kaizerchiefs.com on Thursday morning, “Chippa” recalled the goal he scored against Bay United during the preseason friendly.

“I remember I was struggling with fitness ahead of the games against Bay United and SuperSport United (Premier’s Cup) in Port Elizabeth. The fans gave me tough time early on in the game but all I wanted was to open my account for the Club and I did. It was a wonderful goal as I took Bay United defenders with me from the half way line to put the ball in the back of the net. It is good to be going back there.”

Chippa and his teammates are aware that this time around they are going to Port Elizabeth for real business, “We drew with Santos the last time we met at home. The most important thing for us going to this game is three points. The vibe in the camp has always been high and we want to start the second round with a win. It does not matter how you win sometimes in football, a win is win,” concluded Chippa.

Kick off for the game is at 20h00.
