‘EL Capitan’, Jimmy Tau was in high spirits as he addressed the media during the Telkom Knockout Media Open Day at Club’s headquarters in Naturena on Wednesday after their training session.

There is no doubt that the Captain has regained his form that made him an automatic choice in Club and country during the 2006 African Cup on Nations. He was at his best on Monday silencing the sometimes troublesome, Bennet Chenene.

“We want to win the cup to continue with the proud legacy that Club has had over the 40 years to win trophies,” said Tau.

“The win against Orlando Pirates in the semi finals was very important but now we are focused to an even more important exercise against Ajax Cape Town this coming Saturday. We are working very hard and the spirit in the camp ahead of the final is electrifying. We know that this final presents us with an opportunity to have our names engraved in the history of this great Club,” he said.

Jimmy who won the Telkom Knockout with the Glamour Boys back in 2006 also took time to praise the youngsters like Mandla Masango for the way they have taken their game to the next level.

“It is gratifying to see the likes of Mandla (Masango), George (Lebese) and other younger players in the team taking their game to the upper level. I also think the team as the whole we have been playing well and we want to continue with this on Saturday,” he added.
