Kaizer Chiefs defender Jimmy Tau who was named man of the match on Saturday for his outstanding performance when Chiefs defeated his former club Orlando Pirates by two goals to nil.

Tau has been rewarded for his recent good run of form by being recalled to the national team for the Nelson Mandela inauguration challenge game to be played on the 12th November in Port Elizabeth.

Bafana Bafana will take on Senegal for the second time in the Nelson Mandela inauguration game Bafana lost on penalties to the Terranga Lions in the 2002 inauguration game.

Tau was called up by coach Stuart Baxter last month and played when Bafana Bafana drew 2-2 with the Democratic Republic of Congo, which ensured South Africa’s qualification for next years African Cup of Nations in Egypt. Also getting a recall is defender Cyrile Nzama and goalkeeper Rowen Fernandez, who was called up to the Congo game but had to withdraw because of an ankle injury, which had kept him out of action for the past month.

Derrick Spencer has been asked to be available for the game. The young defender has been asked by Stuart Baxter to be ready as a standby player. He will join up with the national team should there been any injuries or withdrawals from the squad.
