Kaizer Chiefs will have the perfect opportunity to avenge the 3-1 reverse they suffered at the hands of current PSL champions Mamelodi Sundowns last season, when the two teams meet in a high profile PSL match on the 3rd February.

The Brazilians will host Chiefs at the Loftus Stadium in Tshwane the same venue where last season’s encounter was played. This match was originally scheduled to be played at the ODI Stadium in Mabopane, west of the capital.

The game will now be played in the capital city at the much bigger Loftus Stadium chosen as the venue for the match, which will kick off at the original time of 15h45.

The Amakhosi will be looking for a better result than the goalless draw that they played out with the defending champions when the teams met back in October at the FNB Stadium.

With Sundowns moving the game from the ODI Stadium to Loftus it now means that four of Chiefs first six game of the New Year, have in some way or the other been altered.

For Chiefs playing the game at Loftus will have an added advantage as Loftus has been Chiefs home ground since the 17th of December and will remain The Amakhosi’s temporary home for the rest of the season.

Chiefs should fancy themselves playing against Sundowns at Loftus, as they would have played four league games at the venue before their meeting with Sundowns.
