Former Kaizer Chiefs midfield maestro Stanton Fredericks is back in town while the Russian league is on a short recess due to this weekend’s world wide Fifa World Cup qualifier.

Stiga paid a visit to the clubs Amakhosi Store in downtown Johannesburg to purchase souvenirs for his teammates at FC Moscow in the Russian Capital.

Stanton joined Chiefs at the start of the 2001 – 2002 season and was with the Amakhosi for three seasons in which time he won two Coca Cola Cups a BP Top Eight title, the PSL crown in 2003-2004 and most notably he helped the club win the African Cup Winners Cup in 2001.

Stanton, who became a father a year ago, has indicated that like John Shoes Moshoeu he would love to return to the Amakhosi to end off his career once his European sojourn comes to an end.

Amongst his purchases, Stanton picked two personalized jerseys with the number ten (10) destined for a teammate at FC Moscow who gave Fredericks a jersey from his old club. Stanton reciprocated the gift exchange process.
