Kaizer Chiefs and Bafana Bafana winger Stanton Fredericks is on trial in Russia with FC Moscow.

Fredericks' agent Steven Kapeluschnik said reports that Fredericks is with English First Division club Nottingham Forest are off the mark.

"Fredericks went to London on his way to Moscow at the weekend. Somebody got mixed up. He is definitely not in England.

"He will be with the Moscow club for a few days to get the feel of things in the Russian capital and decide if he is interested in playing there," said Kapeluschnik.

The player's agent said the negotiations and trials he had set up for the multi-talented Fredericks in Portugal with Beira Mar and other clubs in Europe were still in the pipeline.

"Fredericks is still planning on going to Portugal. There are other clubs in Europe interested in having a look at him.

"I doubt if he will make up his mind quickly. He has plenty of options to consider and who knows, one could be with Forest, but that is not on the cards yet."

Fredericks has played 14 times for Bafana and scored two goals for his country. He is highly regarded as a skilful winger who likes attacking defenders.

Fredericks said at the end of the season that he is determined to make the move. He would sign for an overseas-based club before the start of the season now that his contract with Chiefs is over.
