Stars will not need any motivation - Baxter

"We have to do things right to overcome Stars," says Kaizer Chiefs coach Stuart Baxter after his team finished the pre-match practice session in Polokwane on Monday afternoon.

Kaizer Chiefs will host Platinum Starts at the Peter Mokaba Stadium on Tuesday evening (kick-off at 19:30).

"Stars will be looking at this game to return to their confidence,” continues Baxter. “We will have to deal with their usual competitive spirit and they will be looking at getting back to their winning ways.”

"We have won a battle against Orlando Pirates on Saturday, beating them 2-0, but this is another big battle. Stars will not need any motivation when they play against us. They are a good team and play good football."

Baxter concludes: “I have options to rotate the team. But we will not make changes that will affect the way we play. All the players except for Kgotso Moleko are available for selection."

The Amakhosi go into this 15th Absa Premiership match without a loss to their name.

Chiefs’ record at home is an inspiring 14 points from a possible 18 at home this season.

The Amakhosi are placed first on the Absa Premiership log with 36 points from 14 matches.

Dikwena are placed 13th on the Absa Premiership log with 14 points from 12 matches.

Chiefs and Stars have met in 23 league matches since 2003/04.

The Amakhosi have ten wins compared to four for Dikwena, while nine matches have been drawn.

Chiefs have won four of their eleven home matches against Stars, suffering two defeats in the process.

The teams have met once already this season in a league encounter, with the Amakhosi claiming a 2-0 away win thanks to goals from George Lebese and Reneilwe Letsholonyane.
