Tickets for the eagerly-awaited clash between Kaizer Chiefs and their arch-rivals Orlando Pirates, which went on sale just over a week ago were sold out at 11h00 on Friday morning.

The Amakhosi, who are the hosts of Saturday's game, made 72 000 tickets available for the game with all of them having been snapped up.

"This is a good sign. We have pre-sold all the tickets and there will be none for sale on the day of the game. The supporters have shown that they are responsible and have made their own lives convenient," added Thami Mayaluza, head of security and logistics for Chiefs.

There will also be a ring of steel around the FNB Stadium on Saturday with fans having to go through three security check-points before they can enter the stadium.

A point reiterated by Mayaluza. “Saturday’s game will be an all ticket affair if you do not have a ticket please do not come to the stadium, supporters will be searched extensively for any weapons or other banned objects the list of which will be at the stadium entrances."

There also been a stern warning issued to anyone touting tickets or selling them at inflated prices they will face prosecution.
