The phenomenal midfielder made his 100th start for The Amakhosi in all competitions when he took to the field against the first division outfit. The former Bafana Bafana midfielder had to wait longer than expected to reach his century mark as this was his first start since November 2005.

Shoes joined Chiefs initially in 1993. After a brief spell with The Amakhosi, he moved on to Turkey and returned to Chiefs in 2002 for his second spell at the club. Since rejoining the Amakhosi ‘Shoes’ has helped Chiefs twice win the Coca-Cola Cup in 2003 and again in 2004.

He was also the top scorer as the club won the PSL title for the first time in the 2003-2004 season. He played an equally important role when the Amakhosi retained their title in 2004-2005, although Shoes did reach his 100th appearance a while ago - Saturday’s game marked his 100th start for Chiefs and he celebrated this achievement by scoring his 30th goal for the club.

Moshoeu has said that he has not put a time frame on his career and will play on as long as his Shoes can carry him. In total, Shoes has now played 130 games for Chiefs in the two spells he has been at the club, thirty of those games have been as a substitute.
