Legend, Johannes Fetsi Chippa Molatedi believes that duo, Siphiwe Tshabalala and his Bafana Bafana teammate, Steven Pienaar will be crucial during the FIFA World Cup to kick off at Soccer City in less than a month.

The Soweto-born midfielder who marshalled Chiefs midfield with aplomb from 1984 to 1994 is currently busy with football at grassroots level where he has adopted three local schools, Ngangunyane Senior Secondary School, Diodi Primary School and Lehae Primary School, “This is where the talent is today,” he told kaizerchiefs.com jokingly.

He will like everyone else be glued on screens during the World Cup, “I watched Bafana Bafana against Thailand on Sunday and I must admit that I am very impressed with the level of professionalism showed by the players in that game. Thailand is not one of the biggest nations in football and it was important that we dominate the game and score couple of goals and the team did just that,” he said.

“I think it was a convincing performance from all the departments. I believe a player like Steven Pienaar will be very crucial for us in the World Cup. He had a wonderful season in Europe and always gives 110% every time his on the field of play. I am also impressed by Siphiwe (Tshabalala) and his confidence is growing by every game which is good for us. I have no doubt that Bafana Bafana will put a good show during the World Cup,” he said.

Molatedi who in other football circles was called, “Telephone Exchange” said he is also happy to be still involved in football, “I have always loved the game. I am confident that soon we will be able to unearth a talent through this project,” he added.
