Amakhosi striker Serge Djiehoua has given the Chiefs medical team a lot to smile about after completing a Cybex test to determine the strength of his injured right leg with distinction.

Serge, who picked up what was potentially a career threatening injury against Jomo Cosmos earlier in the season, has made an astonishing recovery as Doctors had expected him to be back at full fitness closer to the end of the season.

“We sent Serge for the Cybex test on Tuesday and it was a good sign as we learn that he has now regained 90% of the strength in his right leg,” said Amakhosi physiotherapist David Milner. Milner continued further by adding “ we will continue working on building his strength to the desired level, and Serge needs to be credited for working so hard in order to regain his fitness in quick time."

In the mean time the club medical staff have continued treating midfielder Shoes Moshoeu for whiplash, which he picked up in a motorcar accident he was involved in on the 19th January. “Shoes is fine apart from the whiplash, the accident and related knocks he received did not keep him away from training being the professional that he is Shoes continues to work hard at training,” added Milner.

Thabo Mooki, Emile Baron and Ditheko Mototo are still out of action through injury, while Mototo and Mooki will return to training on Friday Emile Baron has resumed light training and will begin full training on Wednesday.
