Kaizer Chiefs Football Manager, Bobby Motaung has revealed to kaizerchiefs.com that midfield cum striker, Gert Schalkwyk has been released to join Bloemfontein Celtic for the remainder of the season.

This came after the Bloemfontein based club enquired about the availability of the player.

“Gert Schalkwyk will play the remainder of the season with Bloemfontein Celtic. We obviously have good relations with Celtic. They made a special request about the player, which the Club agreed to. The player is also happy with the move to Bloemfontein, as he was also looking for a change of scene.

On behalf of the Club I would like to take this opportunity and wish Gert all the best during his time in Bloemfontein.” said Bobby Motaung.

Meanwhile, Gert Schalkwyk thanked the Technical Team and his teammates in Naturena for the support they have given him since joining the Club in July 2005.
