The Stadium gates at Olympia Park in Rustenburg will open up at 16h00 on Saturday afternoon, in anticipation of The Amakhosi’s game against Amazulu to be played early Saturday evening in the platinum city.

There has been much confusion as to the kick off time for the game, with a number of daily newspapers in Johannesburg stating an incorrect starting time for the match. Kaizer Chiefs can confirm that the game against Amazulu will begin at 19h30 on Saturday (03-03-07) evening.

Chiefs will be looking to make an upward move on the PSL standings when they face the leagues bottom side Amazulu on Saturday, Amazulu enter the game on the back of three consecutive league defeats. As Chiefs defender Patrick Mayo explains The Amakhosi will be hoping to repeat the result they achieved over the Usuthu when the teams met in December last year. On that occasion goals from David Radebe and Kaizer Motaung Junior won the three points for Chiefs.

“Amazulu are in a relegation fight and we understand that they will give everything they can towards winning the game. We too want to win the game as we would like to finish as high up in the standings as possible, looking at the fact that both teams are eager to take home the three points the fans will be in for a real exciting game” said Mayo.

Thabo Mooki who made a return to the Chiefs team this past weekend in the ABSA Cup against Golden Arrows, has also set his sights on a Chiefs win saying “I have played against Amazulu in the past when they have faced relegation. The thing is that they are the kind of team who will put in a huge effort to ensure that they can win the game as they hope to stay in the top flight, regardless of their current plight I feel the game is there for the taking and the only thing on our minds at the moment is returning from Rustenburg with a win”.

Tickets for Saturday’s game have been on sale for the past week and fans wishing to purchase tickets for Chiefs match up against the Usuthu may do so by visiting their nearest Computicket or Shoprite Checkers outlet. Tickets for the game are R20 for adults while Juveniles will pay R10 for a ticket.

Do take note that kick off for the game is at 19h30 on Saturday.
