Amakhosi reserves moved back to the top of the DStv Diski Challenge (DDC) table after beating TS Galaxy 1-0 at the King Zwelithini stadium in Durban on Sunday.

A 76th minute goal from midfielder, Manqoba Ozoemena was enough to restore Chiefs to the summit of the league, above Stellenbosch who had won the previous day. The league remains a two-horse race between them, with Amakhosi leading by a point with a game in hand, heading into the last five rounds. Chiefs’ next fixture is at home to Richards Bay on Saturday, 19 April.

In the SAFA Gauteng Development League (GDL), Kaizer Chiefs had a mixed day when they hosted TUKS at the Village on Saturday. The U14s got the day off to a great start, winning 3-0, followed up by the U15s prevailing 3-1. In the afternoon, however, TUKS bounced back to win the U17 tie 3-1 and closed the day out with a 2-0 win over the hosts in the U19 clash.

Their nest outing comes on Saturday, 19 April, away against the School of Excellence.
