The Amakhosi’s combative and highly competitive midfielder Reneilwe Letsholonyane has been at home enjoying the Christmas break with his family. While putting his legs up and resting he has also been thinking about Chiefs final six matches of the seasons.

When PSL action resumes in February Letsholonyane is hoping to spear head Chiefs title challenge, currently the club are in third place on the league table and victory in their remaining fixtures will according to the hardworking midfielder take Chiefs a long way towards fulfilling their title aspirations.

No Pressure

Letsholonyane is of the opinion that setting a target of collecting the maximum number of points from their February matches does not add any pressure to the team, instead it is the reality of the situation that is in front of them.

Of this he explained, “we cannot say that we are placing any pressure on ourselves by wanting or needing to win these matches as this is what we have to do in order to win the league. Winning these games enhances our chances of lifting the league title and we are willing to work hard to do whatever it takes to ensure that we can do that”.

Mission Possible

The dreadlocked midfield has drawn attention to the way Chiefs finished off their league engagements prior to the festive break by winning four of six matches in December, drawing another and losing just a single game.

“In December we had six matches and we won four of them” explained Letsholonyane before adding on, “if we carry on working as hard as we did in December through January and into February winning six games will not be beyond us. We have the character the resolve and the desire to want to win these games as winning them will be the difference between the season ending with us winning the league or not.”
