Kaizer Chiefs old Goalkeeper coach is back in town. Rainer was in action on Monday morning after returning to South Africa over the weekend and has comeback to Chiefs with the knowledge that he will be here for the foreseeable future after being offered a one-year contract with the Amakhosi.

Rainer who was first introduced to Chiefs back in 1999 by the then Chiefs coach Muhsin Ertugral has had an on-off relationship with Chiefs, as he had worked on a part time basis with the club’s goalkeepers while keeping up with his various coaching commitments in Germany.

Dinkelacker was all smiles as he met up with Rowen Fernandez, Itumeleng Khune and Ryan Wuest on Monday morning saying, “I am happy to be back at Chiefs. Being at the FIFA World Cup in Germany gave me the opportunity to talk to various goalkeeper coaches from around the world and I have learnt many things from them. Right now though my job is to get the Chiefs keepers fit and ready for the pre season programme and thereafter for the season ahead”.

Amakhosi coach Ernst Middendorp was also upbeat about Rainer’s return adding “Rainer is a good coach - he has an established relationship with the senior keepers, Rowen and Emile. It is always good to have people who have experience working with our team and the players concerned”.

Rainer is confident that the Chiefs keepers will find form and fitness ahead of Saturday’s match against Black Leopards in the Limpopo Soccer Challenge, to be played in Polokwane. Chiefs depart for Polokwane on Friday and will play their first game at 10h00 am on Saturday morning.
