South African soccer icon, Lucas Radebe, was honoured with dignity when a capacity crowd attended his beneficiary game between SA Invitation XI and Lucas Radebe All Stars at Kings Park Soccer Stadium on Saturday night.



The Invitation XI got the better of the Lucas Radebe All Stars

winning 3-2 after a goaless first half.



The first goal of this entertaining encounter was netted by

Benson Mhlongo in the 56th minute to put SA Invitation XI in the lead.



This goal was cancelled by Benjamin Mwaruwaru who scored for All

Stars in the 70th minute after a nifty move by John "Shoes" Mosheou

and Thabo "Tsiki Tsiki" Mooki in midfield.



SA Invitation XI regained the lead in the 81st minute when Bafana

Bafana striker, Katlego Mphela, scored.



A minute later Mwaruwaru, who won the PSL's Player of the Year

in 2001, completed his brace to the delight of the supporters.



However, Mphela completed a brace of his own in the 85th minute,

to win the game for SA Invitation XI.



The Invitation side was coached by former Bafana mentor, Clive

"The Dog" Barker and the All Stars was coached by legend Jomo Sono.
