Fixture: Kaizer Chiefs vs Dynamos

Venue: Soccer City, Johannesburg

Date: 19th January, 2005

Kick-off: 20:00

Kaizer Chiefs host Dynamos at Soccer City on Wednesday night at 20:00. Chiefs have played a number of games this year already, and it remains to be seen whether the high number of games will take a serious toll on the players.

Emmanuel Ngobese is doubtful for the game and it is still not clear whether he will feature or if he will be rested, after he picked up a knock to his knee in a league match against Moroka Swallows.

Another player who is doubtful is defender Simphiwe Mkhonza who injured his shin defending a shot from Collins Chabalala in their clash with Bloemfontein Celtic.

Though Chiefs have little to worry about, they have a superb record against the Dynamites. Out of eight games Chiefs have won seven and lost only a single game, a record that they will do their utmost to keep intact.

Dynamos have not been playing bad football lately and should look to exploit Chiefs down the wing.

Key Players:

Kaizer Chiefs: David Radebe – David Radebe scored twice in Chiefs’ last game against Celtic, he will be looking to increase his tally after a superb showing against Celtic.

Dynamos: Innocent Mahlambi – Innocent Mahlambi is an experienced campaigner. He will look to feed prolific striker Sandile Ndlovu, who has been on superb form. Mahlambi’s contribution to the team is essential and he creates opportunities for the striker to score.
