On-form midfielder Josta Dladla believes that he and his teammates will rise above the challenges they are confronted with starting with a victory against Ajax Cape Town this coming weekend.

“Chiefs fans expect that we win each and every game we play. It is important that we beat Ajax Cape Town this coming weekend,” he said confidently.

Dladla believes that the fact that they are facing former coach Muhsin Ertugral might just motivate the team to do well.

“Players will always want to prove a point when they come against former coach in particular those who did not get game time during his tenure here. Having said that it is not all about facing him but doing well for the team. We have been playing well and we need to continue doing just that,” said Dladla.

The Johannesburg-born midfielder - speaking to the media during MTN8 Open Media Day at Naturena on Wednesday - said he had not given up hope of playing for the national team.

“I am playing football because I want to represent my country. I have not been in the Bafana Bafana setup for a while and I do have aspirations like every player in the league to be part of the squad in the next World Cup,” he concluded.
