Sir Alex Ferguson Manchester United Coach

About 25 years ago I might have reacted differently to losing a game but when you get to my age you begin to take a defeat in your stride. Overall I am happy with the way we played today, we had a young team out there and they really did well which pleased me you can not expect more out of a tour when you come start out of the end of season break.

Given my record when it comes to penalty shoot outs I knew it was going to be our day, nevertheless most of the players I brought on this tour will be Manchester United regulars in the next couple of years. The event was brilliantly organized logistics, security and the stadia were all brilliant.

Winning is great but all of this talk of being heaven is not warranted because there still along way for us to go towards being ready for the season.

We played better in the second half than we did in the first; we held our nerves in the shoot out and again demonstrated our big match temperament.

I must thank Man U for coming out to play against and to the organizers the event was well run from Cape Town to Rustenburg and in Tshwane, the way the tournament was run shows that South Africa could put up a good showing in 2010.
