Ernst Middendorp (Kaizer Chiefs Coach)

With this victory we showed great character and vision, the players obeyed the instructions they were given and it paid dividends for us.

On the one hand we took the chance we had and we turned it into a goal, we did have a few more one on one opportunities which we should have taken and got a second goal.

Than we played well at the back and Emile made some big saves which kept us in the game, all in all it was a tough game and we prevailed which is good because we have now won two games in a row and will need to keep the moment going for Golden Arrows next week.

Kosta Papic (Orlando Pirates Coach)

This result will have an effect on my players but not for long, they will sleep through the weekend and lament over what happened. On Monday after training we will be okay again and begin preparations for our next matches.

Emile Baron (Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper)

Making saves is my job, the team pays me to be their goalkeeper and that it is what I am supposed to be. It was a tough game Pirates did not make it easy and I am happy to have kept a clean sheet and played the way I have, it is the culmination of a few weeks of hard work.

Tonic Chabalala (Orlando Pirates Player)

Luck deserted us today, we knew what to expect from Chiefs and planned accordingly but it was not to be our day. This happens we will not meet Chiefs in the league again but have a lot of important games coming up which we need to win.
