Zimbabwe National team coach Charles Mhlauri, team, has called up Amakhosi midfield strong man Tinashe Nengomasha to be part of the Zimbabwe National Team.

Tinashe will form part of the Zimbabwe team that will compete at the African Cup of Nations in Egypt, which will take place from the 20th January to the 10th February next year.

Tinashe will join up with his team mates at the national squad on the 27th December for their pre tournament preparations, with Chiefs last league game of the year on the 23rd December Tinashe will have only three days of holiday before departing for the pre tournament camp.

The twenty three year old Tinashe who hails from the Zimbabwean capital Harare, has for a long time been a crowd favourite with the Zimbabwean fans.

He was Zimbabwe’s star performer at the 2004 African Nations Cup in Tunisia, although Zimbabwe did get knocked out in the group stages - his star shone very brightly.

He also picked up the ‘man of the match award’ in Zimbabwe’s only victory in Tunisia, which was a win over Algeria.

Tinashe and his teammates will find the going in Egypt tough as they are in Group D, labelled by many pundits as the group of death.

They will face African Football powerhouses Ghana and Nigeria as well as the 2002 Fifa World Cup ¼ Finalists Senegal.

The Warriors have faced Nigeria in recent times as they were in the same qualifying group as the super eagles. Chiefs would like to wish Tinashe all the best in Egypt and a lot of success with the Zimbabwean National Team.
