Phala rues the yellow card

Kaizer Chiefs speedy midfielder, Thuso Phala has admitted the fact that he will not play any part in the upcoming encounter against Amazulu on Saturday. “Phalafala” came in as a substitute against Celtic to inspire his teammates to a win.

It was his sublime run that created the goal for Siphiwe Tshabalala, but after that he got himself a yellow card which was a third one this season.

“I am very disappointed to miss the game. That was an unnecessary yellow card” said a visibly disappointed Phala.

“The win was a confidence booster for us. We needed the points desperately but then we have a game against Amazulu this weekend...my heart is with the guys and I am confident that we will continue collecting points come Saturday. The confidence is now back following our bad patch in particular in the league” he added.

Chiefs who have lost twice against Amazulu since 1985 will be hoping that their superior record against their counterparts continue on Saturday when the two sides square against each other at Loftus. The game will kick off at 16:00.
