Kaizer Chiefs captain, Cyril Nzama, has predictably been included in the South Africa squad for their crucial Nations Cup qualifier against Congo next weekend

Nzama started in Saturday’s 4-0 rout of Chad in Durban and will retain that position against the Congolese.

Coach Carlos Alberto Parreira also included Rowen Fernandez in goals and kept faith with former Chiefs players Bradley Carnell and Siyabonga Nomvete in his squad.

Parreira named two changes to the Chad squad, with Lerato Chabangu of Sundowns and Pirates’ defender Innocent Mdledle being recalled to the team.

South Africa will qualify for next year’s Africa Cup of Nations finals if the beat Congo in their Group 11 qualifier.

The South Africans are top of the table with 10 points from four games, five more than Congo.
