Kaizer Chiefs coach, Muhsin Ertugral has warned his charges not to get complacent following their 2-1 victory against relegation-threatened, Bloemfontein Celtic on Saturday.

The Glamour Boys are currently lying on third position and will be facing unpredictable opposition this week in the form of AmaZulu.

“People should not start talking about Supersport game on the 28th February. This week we have a tough game against AmaZulu,” he warned.

“It is very important that we take it one game at a time. We cannot afford to be complacent because this is one game of the season - you have a unique situation where any team can beat any team in the league. We are taking the game against AmaZulu very seriously; we beat them the last time so they will be coming all out to revenge.”

The Turk paid tribute to his players for the wonderful performance against Celtic on Saturday night.

“Overall we deserved to win the game and credit should go to all the guys for a good performance. We should have scored more goals in this game, as we created quite a number of chances. However I am content that we came back with maximum points that will no doubt help us climb the league table.”

Celtic came very strongly at the beginning of the second stanza but the introduction of both Josta

Dladla and David Mathebula saw Amakhosi stamping their authority in the game.

“David (Mathebula) was outstanding for us tonight. If we had about 20 minutes more to play he should have been a Man of the Match. I think all our substitutes did well on the night.”

Ertugral was also delighted by the contribution of Jose Torrealba who had missed action for the past five weeks.

“Jose was outstanding. He troubled Celtic with his runs from deep. We told him to stay up front in the second half with Kaizer (Motaung Jr.) making those telling runs. It worked,” he concluded.
