Kaizer Chiefs flying Nigerian, Ibe Zito Ogbonna resumed training with his teammates on Tuesday morning after sitting out for a week due to severe tonsillitis.

The burly Nigerian sat out of both games against Thanda Royal Zulu and Maritzburg United last weekend after he was given a week off to recover.

Muhsin Ertugral welcomed the return of the player affectionately known as “Obama” who has scored four goals in seven games for the side.

“Zito’s return is a huge boost for us ahead of our game against Ajax Cape Town. We are hoping that he will regain his sharpness quickly and be ready for the weekend’s game,” he said.

Meanwhile the Turk paid tribute to Kaizer Motaung Jr who scored a winning goal against Maritzburg United. It was Kaizer’s second goal in as many games.

“We missed him while he was out with injury. There is no doubt that he is one of the most important players in the team. The goals have helped him to regain his confidence.” said the Turk.
