Amakhosi coach Ernst Middendorp was delighted on Thursday evening after defender Cyril Nzama played forty-five minutes of a friendly game against a local team sponsored by Chiefs midfielder Arthur Zwane.

The match played at the FNB saw Nzama play without any strain which lead Middendorp to remark “this is an excellent achievement - for him to finish forty five minutes in this way means he has passed the first phase of his comeback with a 100% pass rate”.

The coach has said that Cyril will play an hour of their next friendly game on Tuesday.

The coach then hopes that he will complete a full ninety minutes on the 9th October against Bloemfontein Celtic in the Macufe Cup, which will be played in Bloemfontein.

Incidentally the Amakhosi won Thursday night’s friendly game by an emphatic 6-0 margin.
