Highly rated defender, Jeffrey Ntuka has vowed to fight for his place back in the team after playing a second fiddle to the likes of Thabang Rooi and Dominic Isaacs.

Ntuka who can also play in the heart of the midfield was at his best during the season banging in a winner against Manchester City in the in the final of the Vodacom Challenge but since then he has failed to win his place back following few starts early in the season.

“I have been working very hard to regain my confidence and my fitness. I am not far off and I am sure in the next couple of days I will be back at my best,” he told kaizerchies.com ahead of the training session on Tuesday.

“I have tried to focus only on what is right which is to work hard at training. I still have a lot to offer here and my dream is to win the league. The other guys are doing well at the back but I also want to be on the pitch. It all starts here at training and compete for my place. It is not only me but the competition for places in the team is fierce and this helps us as we are all on our toes,” he concluded.
