Muhsin Ertugral and his team did not let up as they trained through the rain on Friday morning as he shifted gear from technical training and began doing more tactical work, for Sunday's Telkom Cup ¼ Final against SuperSport United.

Ertugral had a few words for his players before they began training on Friday. Whatever the coach said seemed to had the desired effect as his players go all out through the incessant drizzle which did not let up through out their morning training session. What would have pleased the Chiefs coach though is the fact that his players executed the drills with perfection; the coach will be hoping they can be just as ruthless and efficient in the game as they were in training.

Ready to play the penalty

After The Amakhosi’s nail biting victory over Moroka Swallows in the previous round, Ertugral is leaving nothing to chance for this weekend's game. Although winning the game in normal time is high on his priority list Chiefs highly experienced coach is not leaving anything to chance. As he said “we learnt from the previous round that we need to be prepared for all situations, all though I do not want to think about winning the game on penalties we need to be ready if the game goes that way”.

Preparing his team mentally for a possible shoot out is part of the process for the Chiefs coach, he went on to say “it’s important that we have our list of kicker ready and prepared from before hand. So they know their responsibility and should the game go to a shoot out the guys have prepared themselves from before so the pressure on them is eased”.

Full strength

Apart from his team's preparations going well on the training ground for the game, Ertugral is also pleased with the fact that he has a full strength squad to choose from for Sunday’s ¼ Final, with the Itumeleng Khune recently resuming training after being laid low with a fever. Chiefs can field their strongest team on Sunday.

Ertugral pleased with his good fortune of having his key players available for the SuperSport game said, “it is a major plus factor for us to have every one available for the game on Sunday. It opens up our options and we can field not just our strongest team, it affords us the opportunity to use the most effective guys for each position”.
