Black Leopards can expect no favours from The Amakhosi when the teams meet this weekend in an ABSA Premier League Fixture in Thoyandou on Sunday afternoon, according to Chiefs international left back Onismor Bhasera. A regular feature on the left side of the defense Bhasera has defended with strengths and has started in 25 league games this season, the Zimbabwean was talking to Kaizerchiefs.com ahead of Chiefs departure for the Limpopo province ahead their final league game of the campaign against Black Leopards in Thoyandou. With Chiefs hosts needing a win to stay in the PSL and hoping that Thanda Royal Zulu slip up elsewhere, The Amakhosi hold the cards in deciding whether Leopards will have to join teams from the 1st Division in the play offs.

Self favour

According to Bhasera Chiefs need to do themselves a favour and get a win to ensure that they have a favourable draw in next seasons top eight competition, Bhasera is only focusing on a three-point haul on Saturday. As he explained “our aim is fourth spot and with Platinum Stars who are also looking to get amongst the top eight coming up against Santos. We can believe that they will go all out to win, meaning that we need to do the same and be successful on our side as we want to finish as high up as possible, just to think three months ago people had written us off as possible top eight entrants. Right now though we have the chance to end off the season inside the top five, which to me will round off a great last three months for us”.

While Bhasera does not want to give in he does believe that Leopards with one leg through the trap door, will do anything to improve their position which means that Chiefs need to be prepared for a Sunday afternoon fight in Thoyandou. Of this he added “for Leopards this match is a must win for them, so we do not expect them to ease into the game they going to go flying in looking to draw first blood. It will be our job to make things as tough and as hard as possible, we do understand this is like a knock out match for them and after relegating Cosmos during midweek they will definitely still be on a high. The thing is now can they save themselves, that questioned will be answered on Sunday”.
