No scan for Tinashe

Tinashe Nengomasha avoided having to go for a scan on Tuesday and has made significant progress from an Achilles tendon injury which saw him removed moments before kick off from the Chiefs starting eleven as kick off approached ahead of last Friday’s PSL encounter against Amazulu. Over the weekend and early in the week he was given rehabilitation exercises and has showed a marked improvement which should see him return to training on Thursday, it still though no guarantee that he will start in the match against Sundowns on the weekend.

Scanless

Nengomasha did some light training work Wednesday morning and came through the work out unscathed and will be put by coach Muhsin Ertugral into the full training session on Thursday morning, it is a session that will be watched by the media as The Amakhosi will be hosting them at Thursday’s session. Chiefs physiotherapist detailed to kaizerchiefs.com the steps ahead for the star midfielder saying “ Tinashe will train on Thursday and we will assess him after that session thereafter we are hoping to do another full fitness assessment on him after the Friday training session. At the moment there is a lot of reason for us to be optimistic about his availability for the weekends game”.

Tinashe feeling up

Tinashe spoke to kaizerchiefs.com after his training session on Thursday which also saw him doing some light jogging and he said, “I do not have the discomfort that I had with my Achilles tendon a few days ago and I must add that I am feeling much better. I would like to get into the training session and Thursday and see how that goes, I am hoping that it goes well and that I can take to the field on Sunday. Missing another match will be disastrous for me, being at the ABSA Stadium on Sunday afternoon is where I want to be and hopefully will be”.
