Born in Katlehong 20 years ago, Thela Ngobeni was a pillar of strength as Amajita qualified for the U20 World Cup to be held in Egypt in September later this year.

Goalkeeper Coach Rainer Dinkelacker wished the young goalkeeper a prosperous birthday, “I wish Thela all the best in his birthday. He is a good boy on and off the field. I followed him closely during the tournament in Rwanda.

Overall he did well and we are proud of him and all our youngsters who played there. He came back yesterday (Tuesday) but was very tired. I am happy he is back at work today. There is no doubt in my mind that Thela has a bright future ahead of him. The U20 World Cup in September will be a big stage for him and we will continue working hard in making sure that he represents us well,” said his mentor, Rainer Dinkelacker.
