It was no. 16 at African Wanderers back in 1995.

First boots…

Jomo Sono King.

The first pay check…

It was R1000, 00 at African Wanderers. I gave my mother a half and kept the other one.

It was ages ago (laughing)

The first car…

Opel Cadet 2.0 SI in 1999 when I first joined Kaizer Chiefs for my first stint.

Ifs….

If you would invite four people for dinner in your house who would it be?

I would invite Nelson Mandela, Barrack Obama, our Executive Chairman, Kaizer Motaung and comedian, Chris Tucker to lighten things up. Because I am from Durban, I would prepare a lamb curry for them. (Smiling)

If you were not a footballer what would you be doing?

Fireman! I remember while at school the fire guys were driving the nicest cars and they would work for four days and be off for four days. That looked cool!

If you would be given an opportunity to sign two players for Chiefs who would you go for?

I would sign Elias Pelembe at Sundowns and Granwald Scott at Ajax Cape Town.

Micasa – it is a mixture of House and RnB.

Who is the best dresser at Chiefs?

Jimmy Tau.

Dominic Mateba! He calls me ‘Zidane’ and sometimes ‘Madala’.

Where is your favourite hangout?

I am always in doors – so it has to be home.

What three things people do not know about Arthur Bartman?

People do not know but I can cook a decent meal. I am still a mama’s boy – even at my age. I am very close to my mum and I talk to her all the time. Mhmmmm, the last thing people do not know; I prefer taking shower as compared to taking bath. I do not like sitting on the bath and I always sweat after taking a bath (smiling)
