Tinashe Nengomasha has warned that there is a lot that needs to be done despite the team winning three games in a row.

The Glamour Boys beat Bidvest Wits in the first round of MTN 8, that was followed by victory against Jomo Cosmos in the Absa Premiership opener and on Wednesday evening they registered another emphatic victory against Moroka Swallows.

The General was once again inspirational in the heart of the midfield for the Glamour Boys as they sent a strong message to the rest of the teams in the Premier Soccer League.

“We have had a better start as compared to the last couple of seasons,” said the player affectionately known as ‘The General’.

Tinashe currently one of the longest serving in the squad was part of the team that won the league back to back between 2003-2005 seasons.

“We should not get carried away because we have won of first three official games. It was the more less the same last season when we started well but then got that draw against Maritzburg United. It disrupted our season,” recalled Nengomasha speaking to kaizerchiefs.com on Wednesday evening.

“We need to be focused, take it one game at a time.”

The Glamour Boys change their focus this weekend to MTN 8 as they welcome Ajax Cape Town to the Soccer City precinct.

“Our clashes against Ajax Cape Town have always been closely contested. They beat us on this fixture two seasons back but that is water under the bridge now. History will count for nothing when we meet on Saturday,” he said.
