Kaizer Chiefs midfielder, Abia Nale made history on Saturday when he collected Man of the Match award for the third time in a row. The player is now a serious contender for the Absa Premiership Player of the Month award.

The Vaal born soft speaking striker was at his best on Saturday as the Glamour Boys sent Maritzburg United packing at Olympia Stadium. It was his superb pass that set up for Kaizer Motaung Jr.

“I was surprised after the game to hear that I have won the Man of the Match award,” he told kaizerchiefs.com

“I think once again we played well as a team on the day. Credit should go to everyone for job well done. Maritzburg were never going to be easy, in fact during this stage of the season we are not expecting any easy games. We are travelling to Cape Town this week to meet Ajax,” he said.

Nale said he is going to continue working hard in his game, “There is a room for improvement. I am going to continue working hard in all areas of my game. I want to thank the Technical Team again for the encouragement,” he added.
