Towering defender, Valery Nahayo has been rewarded with an opportunity to spend five days with Belgian Pro League outfit, KAA Gent affectionately known as De Buffalo’s (The Buffalo), following a superb season.

The Burundian-born defender who has been rock solid for the Glamour Boys, will jet out of the country on Wednesday and return on Tuesday; revealed Football Manager, Bobby Motaung to kaizerchiefs.com on Tuesday.

“The player will go to Gent to assess their set-up and working conditions before making a final decision on a possible move.

He returns the following week on time for our fixture against AmaZulu,” said Motaung.

Meanwhile an excited Nahayo told kaizerchiefs.com that ‘belief’ is the reason he has done so well this season.

“I think this season I regained belief in my ability as a player. I had to believe in myself and everything just worked well for me”.

“I had challenges with injuries in the past seasons which hampered my progress. This season I was injury free and enjoyed football.

Life at Chiefs has also been good allowing me to focus on improving my game.

I would like to thank everyone for the support they have given me this season,” he said.
