Kaizer Chiefs defender, Valery Nahayo says he is itching for action after missing the last game against Swallows because of a slight knee injury.

The newly signed defender from Jomo Cosmos fell awkwardly during the MTN 8 quarter final clash against Santos and was replaced by Mokete Tsotetsi.

He joined his teammates for full training for the first time on Tuesday, “I am happy to be back training with the team as the injury was not that bad. I was bit worried when I got injured during the Santos game.

You can imagine the feeling you have just joined a team, play few preseason games and you get injured. I felt bad but now I am glad to be back” he said.

Nahayo told kaizerchiefs.com that he is hoping to be ready by the time the ABSA Premiership resumes next in two weeks.

“I am training twice a day and when the team is not training I am training alone to make sure that I am ready by the time the season starts” he concluded.
