Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Lucky Mzizi has been out of action for most of the week after picking up a knock during training on Monday morning.

Lucky injured his ankle during shooting practice after he fell awkwardly while attempting to take a shot at goal; initially it was felt that there was no cause for concern.

When Lucky turned up for training on Monday afternoon there was visible swelling around his ankle. He was asked to sit out training on Monday afternoon.

His condition remaining much the same on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday - Lucky had to skip training for these days and instead went for special treatment to the Chiefs physiotherapist.

At the Friday training sessions, Lucky was put through a quick medical test and there had been improvement to his condition.

With that he began light training; the medical staff have said that he should be back at full training with the rest of the team on Monday.

The Chiefs medical team have also pronounced themselves happy that midfielder Ntokoza Sikhakhane has fully recovered from the hamstring injury that has plagued him for the past month and a half.
