Kaizer Chiefs defender, Thabang Rooi believes that his best is yet to be seen by Amakhosi faithful. The defender was speaking to kaizerchiefs.com following a splendid performance against Bidvest Wits University on Saturday.

The former Mpumalanga Black Aces defender was making his debut for the Glamour Boys and got praise from supporters for his solid performance alongside Valery Nahayo.

“It was good that we won the game,” said the soft spoken defender.

“I am delighted that I have finally made my official debut for the team. I am not satisfied though...I know couple of people were impressed with what they saw on Saturday.

I think I am way far from reaching my best. I am going to continue working harder in fine cunning my game. We defended very well as a unit on Saturday. We wanted to keep a clean sheet but it was not to be,” he said.

Chiefs are welcoming Golden Arrows on Wednesday night and Thabang said he is aware of the threat the top of the table side posses.

“It is time for revenge,” he warned.

“Golden Arrows hurt our chances last month to defend the Telkom Knockout, now that they are coming to our territory on Wednesday we should turn the tables. There is a wonderful vibe within the team and we have told ourselves that we should take each game as it comes” he added.
