Striker, Knowledge "Smiling Assassin" Musona was on hand to hand over playing material to different schools in Zola, Soweto on Friday, 18 March 2011.

The event was part of the Absa Premiership Player/Coach Of The Month Dreamfields initiative to contribute to the development of football in previously disadvantaged backgrounds.

Musona, who won the prizes for both November/December and January, donated his prize to St. Eric's Primary School (his former school in Zimbabwe), Phumzile, Sedibathula, Ikwizi, Vukuzenzele, Fred Clarc and Mokorotlo (all Primary Schools).

Also in attendance was Orlando Pirates Coach, Ruud Krol, who won the Coach of the Month in December, and Absa's Stuart Masela.

"It is an honour for me to spend the afternoon here with the children in Soweto.

"I never had this opportunity to wear boots at age 11/12 back in Zimbabwe and you guys need to grab this with both hands," said Musona.

The "Smiling Assassin" also took the opportunity to pay tribute to his former school, St. Eric's, and to Absa and Dreamfields for the initiative.

"It all started at St. Eric's and for me it was important to use this prize to say thank you for the contribution they have made to me as both a player and a person.

"Thanks to Absa and Greenfields for a project aimed at developing football.

"I cannot forget Kaizer Chiefs Football Club for the opportunity they have given me to show my talent on the field," he said, adding that he can't wait to get back on the pitch after injuring his shoulder against Free State Stars early in March.
