Affectionately known as ‘DVD’ in football circles, Mathebula took it to the stage to the surprise of everyone in attendance with his dancing moves. He joined a group of traditional dancers who were obviously delighted to have a star in their midst.

Teammate, Jonathan Quartey who spends lot of time with the skillful midfielder told kaizerchiefs.com that he was not surprised when the midfielder took it to the stage, “David is a good dancer and he likes dancing. I was not surprised at all when I saw him jumping into the stage. I can dance better though, ask my teammates no one can match me on the stage when I am dancing to my music,” he said jokingly.
