Kaizer Motaung has shown glimpses of his old self in the past few weeks banging three goals in five games. However in the game against Moroka Swallows, “K” played his heart out, closing down opponents, running into spaces and taking shots from a distance.



His was rewarded in the end when he pulled one goal back in the 2-1 defeat, but it was a little too late as the Glamour Boys came off second best against their Soweto rivals, Swallows.



In the latest issue of Amakhosi magazine, Kaizer Motaung Jr., one of the three contenders for PSL Player of the Year Award for 2006/7 season reveals his ambition to play in the 2010 World Cup.



“I feel a lot of positive energy since returning to full fitness. To play for Bafana Bafana is a great wish and to be involved in 2010 would be a dream come true,”



A special time in the history of South African football is coming up. However, to be able to play for the national team, you first have to perform at club level. To be the best, you have to think like the best and learn from what the best do. The ultimate achievement for a footballer is to be involved in a World Cup, especially when it is to be held at home,”



There is a reason that the World Cup is held in South Africa and there is a reason why I play my soccer at the time when that happens. I just have to trust in the Lord, work hard and anything is possible,” concluded Kaizer.
