Following media reports on the FIFA appointment of the chairman of the Premier Soccer League, Irvin Khoza and his CEO, Trevor Phillips; to assist the Kenyan football authorities on setting up a professional Football league, chairman of Kaizer Chiefs, Kaizer Motaung has sent a letter of congratulations to the PSL duo.

We refer to the above and take this opportunity to congratulate you and your CEO, Mr. Trevor Phillips on your appointment to head the project of the organization of the professional Kenyan Football Federation League, as per FIFA’s appointment.

We view this move by the world’s soccer governing body as a demonstration of much faith in our country’s capacities and intellectual property, more so persons of your calibre who have totally dedicated their lives to the betterment and globalisation of our football. Politically, this is surely another chapter in our contribution towards Africa Renaissance as football administrators. Through this appointment we feel accurately African.
