Tshifiwa “Mirror” Mmbooi shrugged off injury fears and joined his teammates for full training on Tuesday morning. The Limpopo-born defender had to be replaced early second half and what raised more eyebrows from the fans was the use of a wheelchair as they player was being stretched off.

The no nonsense right back has impressed since making his debut against Platinum Stars and was at his solid best against Cosmos until he was replaced by Dominic Isaacs.

“One of the Cosmos players caught me on the ankle and it was very painful on Sunday hence I even struggled to walk. I put an ice on it after the game and I am glad that I did not feel any discomfort at training today. I am hoping to be fine ahead of our game against Ajax Cape Town this weekend,” he said.
