After taking the lead and being really dominant in the first half I thought that we should have had at least a two or three goal lead going into the second half. The unfortunate part is that we did not make the most of what we had created and at the end of the day were made to pay for our missed chances. Louis Agyemang, David Radebe and Arthur Zwane had a number of good chances to add to the score in the first half but these opportunities went a begging.

In the second half we lost shape completely, our positional play was non existent we had players out of position thus putting pressure on their team mates to cover for them and we paid for it. At this point in time I feel that we need to put Sundowns behind us and look forward. We have learnt our lessons from the game and now we need to ensure that we do not lose any more matches, and pick up maximum points from our remaining games.

Starting with Jomo Cosmos on Saturday evening, for us to be serious about trying to retain the title we need to get points out of teams in the lower half of the table. Cosmos have had a bumpy season winning the Coca Cola Cup but they have lost a number of games in the league to some of the lower teams as well. Since the resumption of the league last week they have lost one and won one game, which is fairly indicative of their season so far, we are aware of the dangers they pose.

We have played them twice already in the Coca Cola Cup and the league. I found Cosmos to be a very physical team. In the first game we played earlier in the season, we all know what happened to Serge Djiehoua after Andrew Rabutla tackled him from behind.

Our idea is not to take revenge or do anything malicious, it is clear and simple and that is to win the games and get the points we need. I am aware that Cosmos won’t make things easy for us, but at the moment I do feel our desire for victory will override all else.
