Mexico no easy pickings - Khune

Amakhosi goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune has his mind squarely on Friday afternoon's opening match of the 2010 FIFA World Cup, when South Africa host Mexico in the tournaments opening game. The Chiefs net minder is currently living the moment and enjoying the pre-match build up, "it is a great feeling to be so close to the World Cup" said Khune.



Before going on to say "we are fully aware of the importance of the game and of the importance of winning the game against Mexico. They are a difficult team to play against and it will not be an easy game". The fact that South Africa are the hosts will play a huge factor in motivating Bafana Bafana on according to Khune, "we want to go out and win the game for the country. We have the advantage of home support any thing is possible, with the support behind us we want to go out and upset the other team".



The Chiefs keeper also feels that South Africa's recent form where by they have won four of their last five matches is an indication that Bafana are ready to kick off their World Cup Campaign. "We have doen well in the last few games and we have finally showed what we are capable of".



With just over two days to go to the opening game Khune is also trying to keep the excitement under wraps, "there are a little nerves but as a team need to back each other up and if we do that we will be okay".
